added `--style-mode` to capture colors and such

This is less of a pull "request" and more of a pull... notification. I'm not skilled with rust, I got a lot of AI help with this. Still it seemed worth sharing.

It meets my needs so far, but I plan to leave this in draft status until I've tested it more thoroughly.
