Feature Request: Add Option to Unsubscribe and Undo Painting

Open EmilioBlacksmith opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Description:

It would be extremely useful to have an option to unsubscribe from the service and undo any painting that has been done on the GitHub contribution graph. Additionally, the ability to stop Paint GitHub from making any further commits on the user's behalf is essential for users who decide to discontinue using the service.

Feature Details:

  • Unsubscribe Option: Provide a clear and easy-to-access option in the settings menu to unsubscribe from the automatic painting service.
  • Undo Painting: Implement a feature that allows users to undo any painting that has been done, restoring their contribution graph to its original state.
  • Stop Commits: Ensure that unsubscribing stops any further commits from being made on the user's behalf immediately.
  • Confirmation: Include a confirmation step to prevent accidental unsubscription or undoing of painting, with a prompt that explains the consequences.
  • Notification: Send an email notification to the user confirming that they have unsubscribed and no further commits will be made.

Hope that this makes sense for a future feature, I really love this service :)

I'm asking here because I can't find anything anywhere else.

How can I unsubscribe from this? You're talking about 'clear and easy-to-access'—I just want to find at least the 'not clear and hard-to-access' option, if it exists.
