Is it possible to pair/bond a device automatically ?

I want to connect to a bluetooth device for serial communication. I want to scan a device and pair automatically by hardcoding the pin (if not paired already). I added the pin, but still it is showing an alert box to enter the pin. Is it the new security update in Android or is it possible?
