question! Can I get the FocusDistances(the distance between object and camera?)

In camera, there is getFocusDistance(). But it was not used after API21. Now, I searched the camera2/camerax, but I can't find the parameters about the focus-distance. Anybody have the same question or have any idea? Thanks! I want to know the distance between object and camera without bluetooth or infrared ray.o(╥﹏╥)o
