Oculus Quest 2 input

Open danydev opened this issue 5 years ago • 4 comments

Describe the bug I just tried to install on Quest 2. The app runs but the input system is messed up. Looks like when I tap on something, the tap is off by an offset. Usually I need to tap a bit lower to make the tap click what I want. But this means I cannot taps things at the bottom (like the "install" button)

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Install on Oculus Quest 2
  2. Try to use the app

Expected behavior UI should respond to taps at correct position

Smartphone (please complete the following information): Oculus Quest 2 (Android 10)

Can confirm this issue too. A "workaround" I found to work is using a bluetooth gamepad to select the install button.

This only seems to happen in portrait mode though so it sounds a lot like the quest not supporting portrait mode in android apps properly.

When you say that it happens only in portrait mode, are you implying there is a way in the oculus to set the app to landscape and it works? if so, how can I do that?

Fix in VirtualApp Business Version, version opensource may never support this application😄...

@danydev it works just fine on the homescreen and on parts of the settings app for me.
