I just saw I never got back on this one (just experimenting with AI cli and got it to comment on all stale PRs). But this as an IIO driver will be an hard sell... I'd expect this driver to be upstream. FWIW, there's this:

but I think it did not progressed. So if we can afford waiting a bit longer we might wait and see if that new subsystem is added
