Orphan instance warnings

This PR fixes a bunch of warning, mostly orphan instances, as well as duplicated and outdated imports.

Tested against GHC 9.4.8 and cabal 3.14.1.1

Edit: I realize this PR pulls a bunch of updates from the copy of @sdzx-1. Feel free to take or ignore my PR.
