Double vision object far than 3 meters 'play for dream'

Open mikevador02 opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Hello,

I have play for dream MR, so ipd setup auto or manual are good inside android games in headset, so with stand alone game inside the vr headset.

So when i use the headset with pcvr steam VR wireless mode, so streaming with alvr, my image is good but i seem software idpd problem with alvr, so when see object closer than 2/3 meter my vision is ok, but far than 2 to 3 meter i see all in double (force my eyes to see one image) but verry strong effect , so maybe they are a parameter to change software ipd that far of 2 or 3 meters on alvr ?

I have quest 3 (with VD) and no have this problem on steam vr

steamVR is setup to 100% distortion.

Maybe alvr have a software ipd to configure ? or maybe a play for dream MR preset version json file ?

Thans in advance for your help.

streamer 20.13.0

Same here. It seems that the eyes are misaligned. Both in stable and nightly

I just saw in the Discord that there is a custom version that implements the rotated display and correct the vision. This worked for me on H265 (AV1 had artifacts)

The PFDM MR device employs physically rotated displays to enable an expanded field of view (FOV). https://drive.google.com/file/d/1T1nAdPI9AdaVRjpgkEOZfcl7qLDnCTD6/view?usp=sharing

I have exactly this same problem in DCS, wasn't a problem with VD. Objects on the ground have like 2 edges are doubled, but the cockpit is sharp. Also Q3 and running DCS in proton linux. FOV in steamVR is 100%.
