Hi,
This software looks amazing.
However, I am unable to get it to work so far. I have the ALPR and database setup, I have added the alert to a camera, but what else is needed? It seems like for this application to work it requires other pre-requisites that may be assumed to already be setup?
Like what config other than the alert in Blur Iris is required? Does the local ALPR setting need to be enabled under Blue Iris settings? Do we need to load any custom licence plate models? What config is required in CodeProject? Assuming we need to enable License Plate Reader module. How to test that it works? Testing the action alert in BI it has a message "Web: No Stream: 12007" - is this expected? In ALPR under Blue Iris setting there is the option to add hostname or IP, but by default it says "true". What does true mean? Should it be replaced by IP?
Sorry for all the questions, but I feel like I stumbled upon this software much like joining a conversation half way through and dont have the starting context.
Not to mention that the Licence Plate Reader module in CodeProject keeps crashing (Windows and Windows docker container) - which seems to be a common issue on the internet.
Blue Iris is awesome when it works, but you can spend days just trying to setup things and still not get anywhere.
TIA for assistance.

Definitely can relate there...

You need working ALPR in Blue Iris, nothing else. If you are getting plate numbers in your memos on BI, you're all set. Doing so is different on different versions of BI, but the latest updates post "AI Hardening", make it easiest with the built in ALPR checkbox. Yes, you need the license plate reader module installed in codeproject. There is some good information/guides on IpcamTalk detailing how to set up ALPR.

I'm not sure what exactly you're referring to. I don't think I have that option. But based on your description, no. This app does not run any of the AI models, it just manages all the data. All of the ALPR happens within codeproject.

I was wondering the same thing Screenshot:
That's odd. I must have made a mistake somewhere in the install/update script to cause that. It's sort of jank the way that the fields are populated. It is on my next-up list to improve. That's definitely confusing.
That should be the IP address of your Blue Iris machine as the subtitle says. Just delete true and replace it with the IP.
Is port 80 the correct port? or does some other port need to be added?
Depends on your Blue Iris settings. If you don't normally specify a port when connecting to blue iris, you don't need to specify a port. You can just put in the IP.
