Feature request: prevent certain tasks from showing their name
exclude certain tasks from the Behavior > Display > Show task names option
This is certainly doable, but it'll take some time and research on my end to implement, I'll keep it in mind when I have some more time to devote to this.
I had a question about this implementation.
Would you just want it to hide the label, or also reduce the width as if it were icons only?
To give an example, this is the behavior I would follow for the exclusion.
An option would be added next to that button.
Thank you for considering this! My preference is reduced with as icons only but a little but extra width beyond the icon so its not too difficult to click. This saves a lot of space on the bar for programs that are always open and I expect them to be there. So ideally this would work where they would stay in the same order on the bar as well as being the first tasks on the bar, with the named tasks coming after and have an individual ordering among the icon only tasks.
This is easily doable. I can tell the plasmoid to change the task size to use icon only and then the label should automatically hide. (Bunch of magic in the background that achieves this) I'll add a button below the group option and track it that way. It'll be a little before I get this done however. Been super busy with work and also working on the color overhaul.
