Some consideration about fleet battles
I could open the old IG in a virtual machine, and i played it some minutes
without crashes (but with other important troubles...).
I attach a word file with the summary... i hope this be useful and help you in
your great proyec ;)

in the captures you can also see that there is no delay to fire missiles in the
original game
you can´t fire twice misiles in a pause from one ship, but the delay is
minimal (two speed clicking to space-bar and you can fire a misile again).
