Should Alert Users with Useful Message When Experiencing Solr (other) Errors

It almost looks like the json data retrieved by BBB is somehow corrupted. This is in chrome.

The underlying problem appears to be that a SOLR instance had run out of disk space. The question for BBB is whether and how this problem should have gotten reported back to the user or, even better, ourselves.
