Center Square watermarking in Model P MODE

I haven't saw any detail regarding watermarking in only center portion of the image with respect to the image aspect ratio, then why you are you limiting the watermarking area by thresholding the aspect ratio. Why can't we just rescale the residual to the cover image size and then add it directly.
