I think the transition can only be correct if the initial thumbnail contains also a border, as you can see in [my albums.](https://andrewolff.jalbum.net/PS_Border_PutBorderInImage/index.html)

I can't answer your long-tap question. I disable the right mouse context menu and long-taps to prevent "Save as..." actions.
