Migrate from Tye to Aspire

Open prophecy4you opened this issue 2 years ago • 8 comments

With the advent of .NET Aspire, will you provide a migration plan for those using the commercial license which are still on tye? We are using ABP for almost two years, so tye is a deep requirement of our ecosystem and we would like to have some assistance from ABP to migrate out of it.

Tye is currently archived, therefore your commercial documentation for microservices is also outdated, so we should place a warning there as well.

Well, .NET Aspire is currently in alpha/beta development state. I wouldn't use it in production till a stable release.

Technically, Tye was never worthy of production because it was never a fully supported product. The fact that Microsoft has committed to Aspire makes it immediately more worthy of production than Tye

The migration plan for existing ABP Commercial customers needs to happen now.

@maliming, what would be benefits of using ABP Studio in monolithic or modular monolithic applications in containerized environment compared to .NET Aspire (once it will be released in the first final version)?
