Make Realtime channels implement IObservable for messages and state changes

This will allow developers to easily use Rx.Net and simplify the workflow for consuming messages.

@marto83 This sounds like a great idea, but in the intervening 4+ years how much demand has there been for it?

If it's not a hot topic I'd like to consider closing the issue. What do you think?
