As a disclosure a lot of this work was done with the help of Cursor. As the question about licensing and copyright is still murky with LLMs I figured I'd bring this up.

FYI, I am currently exploring Apple containers to see how best to make it work with Colima. The outcome of that would determine the next steps for this PR.
