FATA errors like this iirc are due to the wrong architecture version i.e homebrew x86_64. it can also be because the machine/MacOS lacks certain virtualisation support

Which VM type are you using? if vmType: vz it will not work on macOS below 13 because the the Apple Virtualization.framework doesn’t support UEFI macOS 13 and above should be fine
