Need a accent filter for frech and other language

Need a accent filter for french and other language.

I searched a lot and didn't find a good filter for french or other language accent. Can't find for exemple name with accent like: Éric. if i wrote Eric in my search filter it won't find it.

May be it can be based on the Latinize filter. https://github.com/a8m/angular-filter/blob/master/src/_filter/string/latinize.js
