Unneccesarily split road
After editing relation/17042302, Relatify decided to split one street in nine pieces (at every junction).

Edit: once again, with https://www.osm.org/changeset/146380062
It seems to occur when you have already mapped route and load it. Then you have to reverse start and end point twice (effectively returning in starting position).
Why hasn't this error that causes vandalism to the OSM database been sorted yet?
Running away & hiding doesn't deflect from the fact you're wantonly vandalizing the OSM database. You have provided no evidence that your program requires ways to be split at every junction.
Faced the same issue, the way was splitted in 4 pieces instead of only 2 was needed for my route updating. See the changeset https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/164718010
I've seen this happen on https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/166604216 too, and while I've seen it mentioned in another issue that "these ways will likely need to be split at some point for tagging reasons" (summary, not direct quote), it's probably best to not do that prematurely. Even if the road needs to be split for tagging purposes eventually, it's best to do that when doing the tagging, splitting it beforehand into these segments might involve more work when someone goes along and adds lane tags or a surface tag.
