Can't go past setup screen - issue recognizing Full-Disk access

app version: 1.0.22 (from SetApp) macOS version: 12.4 hardware: Mac Studio M1 Max

When I try to activate the app, the initial setup screen seems to have issue with recognizing it has been granted Full-Disk access. After it goes through detection and opens System Preferences it suggests restart and after that - it starts over again from setup screen.

I already tried fully removing and re-installing the app, removing it from macOS settings list and adding it back.
