yacreader Doesn't launch on i3

OS: Arch Linux WM: i3 DE: none

Yacreader doesn't launch when using i3. I can't launch it through either the terminal or dmenu. Tried installing from AUR, both manually and using a helper. Works fine in XFCE.

Since attempting a reinstall, it no longer works in XFCE either.

The most common issue when failing to launch on Arch is libpdfium-nojs needing a rebuild because the icu package was updated. This has not happened in the last months, but you could still try if rebuilding libpdfium-nojs fixes your problem.

If it does not, we need to dig a bit deeper. A good start would be to launch from terminal to see if an error message shows up or to launch using gdb to investigate what is happening, possibly using a debug build.

Sorry for not replying, I missed the previous comment. It must've been Arch-specific, as it works completely fine on Gentoo.
