Using Ubuntu 24.04. install fails.
I'm using Ubuntu 24.04. While compiling the version tagged as 2024.2.18.179 was successful, I encountered an error during the driver installation process. The error message is as follows:
不支持这个内核版本 你要换成
Ubuntu 24.04 LTS | x86_64 | 24.04 LTS | 6.8.0-48-generic
I've solved a handful of these issues but still have some myself, I'm using 6.17-rc5. Is there a reason that AMD is developing all of this stuff for a deprecated kernel version target? Respectfully, as an AMD user and long time supporter, this seems asinine since the fact remains that in order to take advantage of most of the newer hardware in chips like strix point and strix halo, that you need a minimum of 6.16 to even talk to the NPU... If I create a fork and push up changes will they be rejected since you're targeting the deprecate 6.8.0 or would they be welcomed? Would anyone help me do it?
