Unable to view vimflowy.bitballoon.com using Google Chrome on iPad Pro
Environment
- iPad Pro 12.9"
- iOS version 10.3.1
- Google Chrome version 58.0.3029.83
- Firefox version 7.4
When I attempt to open http://vimflowy.bitballoon.com using Google Chrome on my iPad Pro 12.9" I am presented with a pop-up modal dialog informing me I am using an unsupported browser.
When I click "Ok" I am presented with a more detailed error message:
undefined is not an object (evaluating '__gCrWeb.autofill.extractForms')
global code@https://vimflowy.bitballoon.com/:1:85
Additional Notes
- I am unable to access the JavaScript console using this version of the Chrome browser so am unable to provide those details in this bug report.
- I attempted to reproduce this issue using the versions of Safari shipped with iOS 10.3.1 and Firefox 7.4 and while those browsers did generate the initial pop up modal dialog warning me of using an unsupported browser version, clicking "Ok" brought me to what I assume to be the standard initial screen (see screenshots below)
Firefox
Safari
I'm going to see if I can get my local dev environment setup to hack away at this issue over the weekend, but I figured I'd log it in case any of the maintainers were aware of it or might know of a quick and easy fix. I'll update the issue with additional comments as I progress in my investigation.
Thanks for the report - was not aware!
I did some brief digging around and it might be worth trying just ignoring that error. Someone suggests a check like if (err.message && err.message.indexOf("__gCrWeb") !== -1) return;
which would go in the window.onerror callback in src/assets/ts/app.tsx.
I can't reproduce, so it'd be awesome if you could try.
Sure thing, Jeff. I'm away from my laptop now but will give it a go when I'm back at my desk and update here when I have more to share!
