WWE vs NASA

Hi, for the last seven years I have been working on https://github.com/trixon/mapton, a NetBeans based worldwind application. Most of that time I have been using @pcmehlitz build https://github.com/pcmehlitz/WorldWindJava-pcm because of it easy to use maven dependency.

But that one is based on 2.1.0 and getting old so I have been thinking of switching to either the vanilla version by NASA, or this WWE one.

I understand that you are biased here :) but do you have any advice or recommendation in which way to go? Any plan here on releasing WWJava as a complete maven dependecy?

Hi, It was released in JCenter before its shutdown.

We can release it in Maven Central if you help to prepare a fork with release configuration because we have no resources to handle this task.

We are currently using WWJ only in one project as local JAR dependency, but our main focus is on the development of WWK Kotlin version.
