Improve docs?

I found the docs a little hard to use. Information is spread over a number of files with names like how_to and tutorial. I found I kept having to open numerous files to find what I needed. I would prefer to see it all in one place. I also don't like docs in markdown as it makes room for confusion.

I ended up making my own docs page with what (to me) was all the necessary information in one place, in the order I needed.
