Dom posted this: http://daverupert.com/2016/05/responsive-comparison-tables/ It's an interesting approach to comparison tables but also suggests that there is no "one size fit's all" approach to responsive tables. It depends on the data in the table. Which means, we probably need several responsive table designs.
