Multiple Entries on CM instance

Hello Weblog team,

Our website is live now and our content authors have started creating multiple versions of the item while modifying the content. We observed that on our CM instance on the listing page the number of times a blog is displayed depends upon the number of versions its entry item has (in same language)

Say an item has 2 versions in English language then the blog would be displayed 2ce on the listing page. This is happening on our CM instance only.

Please let us know if this is as expected. if yes, can we disable it somehow to show only the latest version

This is not expected behavior. It looks like we have a bug here.

When you say it's only happening on CM, do you mean only when using content from the master database, such as preview mode? Does it happen if using the web database on CM, like when browsing the site hosted from CM without being logged in?

Also, which specific version of WeBlog are you using?

Hi Weblog Team, we are on Sitecore 9.1 and used the weblog package provided here for 9.1 The issue is not in EE/Preview mode, it is when we are browsing the CM website URL/Site

so even in our web database if we were to go to and add 2nd versions of that item then that blog would display 2 times on our web/Cd instance of the site Has it got anything to do with weblog.delivery.config? do we place it in our CM instance or the CD instances

Hi @Nikita-cap, Which version of WeBlog are you using? 4.0, 4.0.1 or 4.1 (these are currently the only WeBlog versions which support Sitecore 9+).

It's odd that this is happening for web DB content. The web DB normally only holds the latest version of any item, unless you're using Content Testing. Are you running any Content Tests on the items which appear multiple times?

The WeBlog.delivery.config file should only be enabled on CD servers and replaces the WeBlog.config file on those servers. It should not be enabled on CM servers.
