I don't know how difficult it is to implement support for Folia, but it would be great.

https://github.com/PaperMC/Folia Folia is a fork of paper which adds regionised multithreading.

i think you can try to pregen the world and then use it in your target. try it, maybe it will work

Unfortunately, Iris cannot support Folia due to a fundamental difference in Folia's approach to processing and issuing server events compared to any other fork of bukkit > spigot > paper or purpur. We continue to look into ways to accomplish it, but are unlikely to have a meaningful solution any time soon. Sorry about that.
