Tools: LocalModel base class which would be serialized to LocalStorage

Model.id would be used as a key. We won't touch sync, just override fetch, save, and delete.

Would be useful as a base class for ViewModels. And this is enough - with properly implemented nested collections we don't need separate wrappers for collections.
