The number is configurable in `book.toml`, at the bottom we set `limit-results = 15`. We can make the number bigger (the default is 30), but I don't think it's possible...
To make the minibuffer expand to accommodate the entire tooltip text, use the variable `tooltip-resize-echo-area` instead of `truncate-lines`.

Do you plan on keeping the current version around for expository reasons? The implementation details are documented in section 8.4 in your book.
