Orchid: Broken installation when not connected to the internet on the second boot
Issue Description
See "steps to reproduce".
Steps to Reproduce
- Install Orchid
- Boot for the first time, create account, chose software to install etc.
- Disconnect from the internet
- Boot again while offline
Initialization will fail due to being offline, logging an error, but giving no instructions or chance to retry. Flatpak does not initialize properly (it has no configured remotes, Software app shows no installable apps), none of the apps you selected on first boot are installed. There is no obvious way to re-trigger this initialization.
On what version of Vanilla OS this happens?
Unreleased
Additional Information
No response
It should probably not delete the desktop file from autostart until it has actually finished all steps. That way you could still reboot and it would run again.
