Steam vr not listed under window tab

Hello I'm trying to get steam VR to work in an old project its in unity 5.6.7 (I know its ancient but in the asset store it says its the minimum required version) However when I remove my old steam vr folder and install the new one it does not display the steamvr option in the window menu. Is this a known issue? Could anyone point me in the right direction why this happens?

I believe that should still work. You may need to delete the steamvr folder, delete library, restart unity, then import new steamvr

I deleted the steam vr folder but how do I delete the library?

I deleted the steamvr folder and the steam folder in the plugins folder then restarted and installed the new one. But still no option shows up in the window drop down menu?
