Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

When receiving an invitation (Game Invite or Remote Play Together), you will be presented with an on-screen toast notification. The user can tap the notification to show a prompt allowing them to Accept Invite or Cancel. If a game is actively in focus however tapping the notification does nothing. This forces the user to navigate to the Notifications tab of the Quick-Access Menu or open the relevant chat where the invitation was received from.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Launch a title (e.g. Factorio).
  2. Have another account send you a Game Invite.
  3. Once the toast notification appears, use the touchscreen / mouse to select it.

Reproduction Rate: 5/5

Affected Platforms

  • LCD / Jupiter: Yes
  • OLED / Galileo: Yes
  • Desktop Deck-like session (gamescope -e -- steam -gamepadui -steamdeck): Blocked - Mouse input is not registering.
  • Desktop: Yes, in Big Picture Mode

Actual result

  • Invitation toast cannot be selected while actively in a game.

Expected result

  • Invitation toast can be selected and correctly prompts the user.

Notes

  • If a title is running but is in the background (i.e. user is browsing the Library), the notification can be tapped.
