Reverb plugin on Android (Oculus Quest)

Open wickerman123 opened this issue 6 years ago • 1 comments

Hi,

I'm currently working on a project that relies on Steam Audio's acoustic simulations. The client has requested that the project be built of Oculus Quest as they're restricted in what hardware they can use.

However there is currently no way I can see to enable the reverb plugin in UE4 for Mobile devices.

I've read this thread and it seemed to suggest that it was disabled due to lack of power in mobile devices. However this is two years ago, surely it is at least somewhat plausible to run this on some hardware configurations? I understand it might be a bit much for the Oculus Quest but I'd rather be able to test it than just be completely locked out and unable to try.

Is there any way that the reverb plugin can be deployed to Oculus Quest? Surely there are plans to support hardware like this going forward seen as Audio is so important to VR experiences?
