Hammer sometimes fails to call some cursor icons.
I've been meaning to post this for a while but it's currently nothing me so much that I decided to note it. Since the Source Engine MP tools for the Source SDK, whenever you went to draw a brush, resize it or move it, Hammer will use the default standard mouse icon. I rarely used the MP tools back then, so it did not bother me in the slightest then.
Now, this issue is in all the Steampiped tools with the current SDK tools. But sometimes works, and sometimes does not. If you started up Hammer and made a new vmf, it would work for a bit as normal, but after a while, you would start seeing the standard cursor rather then the arrows, move icon or crosshair. Sorry to be making so much picky Hammer bugs, I've been using these tools for a while and I find it unfitting when thing's don't work correctly. Thanks.
I confirm this.
Should also note that sometimes the cursor would get stuck on other cursors such as the move cursor when sizing brushes and other tasks.
This should be fixed in the latest SDK Base updates. If it isn't, let me know and I'll re-open.
@JoeLudwig This issue is still here.
It works 100% when a vmf is loaded. However, the cursors seems to break when you minimize Hammer or put another program (Like an internet browser, Windows Explorer, etc) over Hammer.
Funny thing, it will continue to work in one of the 2D view ports. For me so far, it's the bottom view windows. I'll keep mapping and see if I can find any more patterns to waken the issue.
Update: It seems that after a while after loading a vmf the cursors still break without loading/calling other windows.
I can confirm that it can reset by loading or reloading a vmf, not the entire application itself.
I can confirm the issue is still existing. My OCD is going freaking nuts over this :p
edit: happens with all post-steampipe hammer programs that don't have authoring tools.
Hope this issue gets reopened and not forgotten about. That, or it's fixed again, and waiting to be shipped in the next update.
@JoeLudwig Just wondering if there has been any updates with this issue since it still exists, and the issue remains closed. Thanks.
Hope this issue gets reopened and not forgotten about.
I hope too.
