I am running into an issue where mods like mel, speedrun, and reloaded refuse to open outside of proton

This persists after reinstalation of both steam (which did fix portal 2 vanilla) and the mods, when I click play it flashes to launching for a second and then back to the play button, I have included a log from launching within terminal in case this helps. If I shouldn't be posting it here please just close this issue, but if you can help it would be greatly appreciated. Mel-crash.txt
