crt-royale-reshade scanline effect issues with KDE adaptive sync
Not sure if I should report this here or on the crt royale reshade repo, but either way there seems to be a problem with gamescope that causes the shader to render a weird vertical scanline across the screen while the rest of the screen is dark. This happens inconsistently whenever adaptive sync is enabled (I'd say every 2 boots of a game or so, might be dependent on the refresh rate of the display when gamescope starts, but that's hard to consistently replicate), with the speed of the line being dependent on the current display refresh rate. Issue appears on kde plasma wayland with mesa, arch linux latest.

Please how can I get to use reshade with gamescope? Could you point me a tutorial?

i can fix it temporally by swapping to crt easymode and then swapping back
Please how can I get to use reshade with gamescope? Could you point me a tutorial?
- step 1 grab crt royale from this link https://github.com/akgunter/crt-royale-reshade
- step 2 place Shaders/ in /home/username/.local/share/gamescope/reshade/
- step 3 run this
gamescope --reshade-effect crt-royale.fx -- programnamehereor - step 3.5 paste into steam launch options
gamescope --reshade-effect crt-royale.fx %command%
this issue also happens on the steamdeck in gamemode so its not a kde or vrr issue
Can confirm this
Nested the behavior is even weirder. If it's something always drawing to screen it seems fine but something like Firefox/emulators have the scanning line.

I confirm this issue, never managed to get it to work right
I have the same issue, i havent found a solution but it definitely seems tied to framerate or something because it changes speed quite a bit
