Your system information

  • System information from steam (Steam -> Help -> System Information) in a gist: https://gist.github.com/jesperbakhandskemager/910505c4d1de7001c1b2d2deb2ac295f
  • Have you checked for system updates?: [Yes/No] Yes, this is an ongoing problem

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Describe what you expected should happen and what did happen. Please link any large pastes as a Github Gist.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Open Steam
  2. Launch CS:GO
  3. Crash.

It constantly crashes at launch, before the logo shows up. If the logo appears i haven't experienced it crashing before loading up completely. It also sometimes crashes when trying to enter a game, which doesn't happen closely as often, but much more serious as this results in a cooldown, as i can't just start the game up again without trying to start it 20 times

I was playing csgo during the day, and in the evening when I ran the game, I got an error "libcurl.so" not found. I installed libcurl4 and now I am getting the same error.

I don't know why this is happening, all I know is that it crashes with a null ptr dereference in libSDL2.

I am going to try and reinstall the game, although I don't think it will work.

That issue got closed but for me the problem still persists - https://github.com/ValveSoftware/csgo-osx-linux/issues/2998

From my "experience" this is related to using NTFS drives. Since i mount my drives with NTFS-3G the issue is gone. I'm even able to reproduce it by mounting the drive with NTFS3 instead. Then it will crash right at start again.
