Low battery warning is unreliable

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
On my Steam Deck when I let the battery run very low, I would expect a battery warning to appear at 10% in the bottom right. This does not appear to be working properly, I tried it twice today and the first time I got the notification, but it disappeared again. Then I charged it to 11% and let it go down to 9%, and no warning ever appeared.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
- Let the battery go down to 10% or lower
- Wait for the yellow notification to appear
- It's not there
I have encountered this as well. I remember before it used to but no longer. I'm on the latest stable as of writing.
For me, with 3.7.8 and Client 1748914100 (both OS and Client stable channels, up to date at the time of writing), with a more or less pristine OS without mods, it's showing the yellow notification rectangle in the bottom-right when reaching 10%, for about 15 seconds, then disappears. This when the Steam client app is in view (not playing a game).
Meanwhile, the icon in the top-right corner of the panel-bar appears with red color all the time.
Charging up to to 12% and letting it drop to 10% doesn't trigger it again as far as I could see (I was not looking at the screen all the time, but pretty often and it was in my peripheral view, there was no sound, and I tried twice).
Getting it charged up to 20% so the battery icon in the top-right corner goes back to green, then the yellow rectangle notif in the bottom-right gets triggered again when dropping to 10%.
I was testing this when playing a game and also showed me the yellow box at the bottom-left warning about low battery when the battery reached 10%. Same behaviour as when in the main Steam interface.
@stellaberrant @Everspace : I have seen the occasional mention of this notification not popping up, it seems to work in general or for most people but perhaps there are some circumstances in which it doesn't, either semi-random or related to settings.
Have you seen this happening again? If so, do you have any more data, like "always happening", "20% of the time", ...?
Charging up from 10% but below 20% or so doesn't make the notif appear again, but otherwise it should appear in general.
It seems to be more consistently showing the 10% battery warning now. I'm wondering if this was partially from the "Stuck Battery Level" bug that was fixed in a fairly recent patch.
This also happens to me on the Lenovo Legion Go S (with SteamOS). Low battery notification never appears on the stable channel.
