Proton 9 and experimental broke full screen in many games.
This only happens on my notebook, it's an Nvidia RTX 3050 and AMD integrated graphics card

Hello @DekosAnjo, please add PROTON_LOG=1 %command% to a couple game's launch options and attach the generated $HOME/steam-$APPID.log to this issue report as a file. (Proton logs compress well if needed.) Also, please copy your system information from Steam (Steam -> Help -> System Information) and the contents of Steam Runtime Diagnostics from Steam (Steam -> Help -> Steam Runtime Diagnostics) and put them in a gist, then include a link to the gist in this issue report.

@DekosAnjo Can you go to your systems display settings and let me know if it shows 2 displays there? Additionally, can you run the command xrandr in a terminal and upload the output please?
I am seeing a DISPLAY1 and a DISPLAY2 in your system information, with one of them having some weird settings. Those could be leading to your weird display issues even if it appears regressive within Proton.
It's a notebook. I connect the HDMI to use the external display and use Super+P to use just the second display. I tested some things, and I hope this brings some light:
HDMI connected + extended display: Doesn't work
HDMI connected + just external display: Doesn't work
HDMI connected + just internal display: Doesn't work
Just internal display: Works
So, it seems to have something to do with the HDMI.

@DekosAnjo This does help give some possible insight into the problem. This is something we will try to look into. Can you grab me one more log of the failing setup by running PROTON_LOG=+event,+x11drv,+x11settings,+win,+system,+fshack %command% please?
