Missing required field X

Since last Friday I have been crashing constantly at all points in the game:

• Loading Dota
• Loading Match
• Playing Turbo
• Playing Arcade

The most common error redacted for clarity is:

121(12.111954):  Item definition 40069: Missing required field "item_class"Item definition 40070: Missing required field "item_class"Item definition 40113: Missing required field "item_class"Item definition 4955: Missing required field "item_class"Item definition

or 

AbortMessage({Failed to initialize event schema.  Error parsing event 'EVENT_ID_INTERNATIONAL_2016'.  Error parsing 'purchase_points_item_defs'.  Item def 'The International 2016 - 5 Battle Pass Levels' not found.

But seems to list over a thousand items with a missing required field.

During dota loading phase it will crash with this alert:
