There's some recent work that has taken place within the PROJ and GDAL development communities providing capability and functionality for CRS-WKT

This community has been pretty active getting up to date with the OGC CRS Specification work.

There may be some possibilities for linking, or making use of approaches, for example: https://gdal.org/tutorials/osr_api_tut.html

WKT support can be provided by #256 (formatting already there, parsing would require additional development on wrappers side).
