Automatically check for updates and update automatically if an update is available at program start. This will allow for the program to update itself more easily than going into the settings menu and checking manually.

This would need to get the updater functionality split into "check for updates" and "actually update". Would be a bit useless IMO with nightly commits, but can def see it getting useful for stable releases (see that one other issue here around somewhere)
