Option to select spool without filament change

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. When I’m getting ready to print something, I’m generally loading a spool onto an empty printer. Since I use the filament manger plugin to keep a rough idea of my spool weights, I often will change the active spool right from the OctoDash UI. However, despite not having any filament currently loaded into the extruder, I’m forced to sit through the filament change sequence each and every time.

Describe the solution you'd like I would like to have the ability to select an active spool through the filament manager, but without always having to run the filament change sequence. A designated button in the UI would be fantastic.

Came here to open the same issue. Octodash is really awesome(!!), but the filament menu never really works right for me, for various reasons:

  1. There's no option to unload a spool only - you're forced to go through the whole filament change workflow
  2. There's no option to load a spool only - same as above
  3. There's no option to change your selected filament in filament manager without going through the change spool workflow
  4. IMO when you hit next eg. to get to the unload menu, it should wait until you confirm the action it will do, eg. when you get to the "unload filament" screen, it should wait until you hit confirm to actually start unloading the filament. Same for load and purge screens

Perhaps the process would be better served by separating the unload and load workflows and giving the user more control over what happens and when. Eg. The load screen should be simplified to show on the same screen buttons for "select new filament", "unload" and "purge 10mm" without forcing you into a rigid workflow.

This would be great! One the Core One if you place the spool on the machine and feed it it starts an automatic load. Then when you go into OctoDash and Spool Manager to update which spool is on the machine it forces an unload and then a reload which is unnecessary. If I remember to NOT insert the spool and only start the process from OctoDash it works well but I don't always remember.
