Dictation in MacOS is not possible in the subtitle edit box

Whenever I try to use dictation on mac I get a ding on the machine indicating it's not possible, as if I'm not is a text box.

This makes me think that MacOS is not recognizing the subtitle edit box as a text box and is not enabling Accessibility features.

All other text fields (eg. Actor, Effect etc.) are able to receive dictation. I'm not sure what is causing this, but if someone can please let me know if there's any solution to this I can do on my end.

Dictating in another app and pasting is an inconvenient workaround.
