Icons still appearing on my desktop, how can I hide them when they are added to the fences?

All icons that are on my desktop are staying on the desktop even if I add them to the fences. How can I make it so they just appear in the fences when added to them?

I want to keep the Recycling Bin on the desktop though. In iTop Easy Desktop, it suddenly disappeared, so I hope no such problem will exist here.

Also, like in Fence and iTop, I would love a quick-hide option for the fences like someone else mentioned, perhaps double or triple clicking with left mouse button on the desktop should do it?

I'm having the same issue, that makes NoFences not really helpful. But I probably miss something.

I think you cannot, usually I move icons to the Fences and then I hide all icons from desktop, which gives a much clean desktop.

Ok thanks. How do you hide icons? Do you place them in a separated folder on the desktop?

right click on Windows desktop, there is an option called "View", and go to its sub menu, the last option should be "display icons on the desktop" or something similar (as I am using an non-English version Windows 11), click it, no more icons on desktop, only those in Fences. :)

If you want those icons back, click that option again, and they are back to display on desktop.
