Send button not working

I plug in my calculator (TI-84+CE), select the file i want to send, and the send button stays grey and doesn't do anything when i click it. It says it connected to the calculator, and that the file is fine, but the sending just refuses to work.

Hmm, weird... Sounds the same as issue #40? Is there an error in the browser console?

I checked and there is! When i click on the connect button after selecting the calculator, the error reads "DOMException: Failed to execute 'open' on 'USBDevice': Access denied.".

(I closed and reopened this thread because i accidentally closed it since i'm kind of new to Github)

@Magenitech welcome to Github in that case 😄 What OS are you on, if I may ask? And do other websites that make use of WebUSB work for you?

I am on Windows 7, which could be the reason. That's also why I don't just use TIConnect CE, and i actually didn't know WebUSB existed, and i haven't tried it on any other sites. If it's really important, I can probably try to find one that does though.

It could be that your security settings don't allow your browser access to USB devices. That's what the errors seems to say, at least. Have you tried messing with the security settings, or trying a different browser? (I'm not sure which one you're on?)

This at least tells me that my error handling should be better. You should have gotten a clear error message, not an unresponsive send button :)

I couldn't find anything in the computer security settings that would do anything, and what I did find the browser settings confirmed that the site has full access to all connected devices. As for the browser, Firefox says that it's not compatible, and internet explorer doesn't show anything other than the "this site is experimental" at the bottom, so I'm doing it on Chrome.

I also have the same problem. Even after following all steps in this thread to resolve the permission issues the Send button still remains grey.
