[Feature] Symlinks for Windows apps
Feature Description
Short Description
When we add some app in windows, we might want to access it from our own start menu, not always from Winboat's app menu.
There could be an option in settings menu, that we can add shortcuts to our home folder, that make that apps will launch with shortcuts.
extra informations:
This feature request is from my favorite Turkish Tech Channel Yusuf Ipek's review. I just want to be an voice for him.
He says: "Uygulamadan beklentim şu olurdu: Mesela şu an comet'i indirdim, ya da Microsoft Word, One Note vs indirdim, (opens his favorite search box for native Linux in his system) burada bulamıyorum. Mesela OneNote yazdığımda buraya (search box) çıkmıyor. Normal benim linux masaüstüme kısayol atamasını beklerdim. Veyahut öyle bir seçenek verse güzel olur. Çünkü ben belki sürekli winboat üzerineden değil, kendi başlat menüm üzerinden erişmek istiyorum, buna izin verebilirdi."
With Translate: "My expectation from the application would be this: For example, I just downloaded Comet, or Microsoft Word, One Note, etc. (opens his favorite search box for native Linux in his system) I can't find it here. For example, when I type OneNote, it doesn't appear here (in the search box). I would expect it to create a shortcut on my normal Linux desktop. Or it would be nice if it offered such an option. Because I might want to access it from my own start menu, not always from Winboat, and it could allow that."
Use-Case
- General good,
- Works with every user and be an huge life quality feature,
- We can access windows without opening main (winboat) app,
- This feature makes this software more pleasurable for distros default windows app option
Proposed Implementation
You can add just an symlink to main program folder or create an folder for windows apps symlinks and add that folders path to system.

Hi! I've implemented the feature you requested. See > Pull Request: Linux shortcut support and related changes #430
It works well on my forks branch, with the small caveat that the resolution of the icons could be better.
Hope it's useful to you!
