MQTT client won't initialize
Describe the bug MQTT client won't initialize, please check settings
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior: Fresh install of the latest APK on galaxy tab A8. Settings, setup home assistant addon mqtt details. Tried variius combinations, no luck repeatedly get same error
Smartphone (please complete the following information):
- Device: Samsung Galaxy tab A8
- OS: Android 13
- Applicaiton version: Wallpanel v0.12.0 build 0
Same for me. Came from v0.9.6 and tried to upgrade one of my two tablets.
Connection to ioBrokers built in MQTT broker does not work with the latest Play Store version of this app.
With Protocol 5.x : "MQTT client won't initialize, please check settings". With older 3.x protocol selected the app goes in a furious crash loop and must be uninstalled to break out of it.
I tried every possible constellation of settings and ruled out everything on my side. It is this app version.
I am switching back to an old non-Play Store version of this app. 0.9.6-beta.0 is still working fine and MQTT is working there. Link
I had exactly the same problem from a similar scenario - upgrading from thanksmister version to thetimewalker version (from playstore). After trying every combination of settings it occurred to me I'd installed the latest version alongside the old version, and only then deleted the old version. Thinking there may have been some sort of conflict, I uninstalled the latest version (so no wallpanel installed at all), rebooted fire tablet and reinstalled thetimewalker version again from playstore. Problems disappeared and worked immediately. YMMV.
